Local sources from Panjshir told Chiragh TV on Wednesday that a few days ago, the Taliban arrested and imprisoned Abdul Malik, a religious scholar and deputy of the Ulema Council.
According to the sources, he was severely beaten and tortured while in Taliban custody and is now receiving treatment at a hospital in the Rokha area of Panjshir.
Relatives of Abdul Malik say his health condition is currently concerning.
It is worth mentioning that the Taliban had previously arrested Mawlawi Abdul Malik in 2022 (1401 Solar Year) on charges of collaborating with the Resistance Front.
