Afghanistan’s Sambo Kurash Federation announced on Wednesday that national athlete Ismail Kakar won a silver medal in the Sambo Kurash World Championship held in France, bringing the honor to Afghanistan.
According to the statement released by the federation, Ismail Kakar defeated athletes from Congo, France, and Tajikistan during the tournament and secured the title in Afghanistan’s name.
It is worth mentioning that the Sambo Kurash World Championship was hosted by France and took place in Paris with the participation of athletes from 25 countries.
