In a published report, the Afghanistan Journalists Center stated that Taliban intelligence forces have halted the operations of the local Nasim Radio in Daikundi province by detaining its managing director and two journalists.
The Center reported that the Taliban confiscated the station’s equipment and also shut down Nasim Radio’s studio in Bamyan province.
The Afghanistan Journalists Center condemned the move, describing it as a clear attempt to undermine and restrict the independence of free media. It called on the Taliban to allow Nasim Radio to resume its activities and to uphold their commitment to freedom of expression.
