According to a statement released Wednesday by the Taliban’s Supreme Court, two individuals were publicly flogged in Alisher District of Khost Province on charges of illicit relations.
The statement says both were given 39 lashes in front of the public and sentenced to three years of imprisonment.
Additionally, the statement reports that in Paktia Province, one individual was flogged 39 times on charges of murder and sentenced to one year in prison
