Former jihadist leader and prominent politician Ustad Abdul Rab Rasul Sayyaf has stated in recent remarks that the current Taliban regime is in a state of decline and collapse.
He asserted that the downfall of the Taliban system would be a great divine blessing for both the Afghan people and the broader Islamic community.
Sayyaf cited ongoing oppression, injustice, corruption, and the monopolization of all government functions by clerics as clear signs of the regime’s deterioration. He emphasized that Islam is a religion of mercy, freedom, and knowledge, whereas the Taliban have brought hatred, killing, and forced migration, exploiting the name of Islam for their own benefit.
