Taliban Declare Public Holiday for the First Time on the Occasion of Asad 28

In a statement issued by the Taliban’s Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, it was announced that a public holiday will be observed on the 28th of Asad to mark the 106th anniversary of Afghanistan’s independence from the British.
It is worth noting that since the beginning of Taliban rule, this is the first time a public holiday has been declared to commemorate the day of independence achieved by King Amanullah Khan from the British.
