The leader of Hezb-e-Islami, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, has stated that he has no intention of traveling abroad and has not been invited to any meeting in another country.
Hekmatyar made these remarks in response to claims by Afghanistan International suggesting that Afghan political figures would meet with Pakistani officials in Pakistan regarding Afghanistan. He said: “I urge the media to refrain from spreading falsehoods, especially those that create suspicion. I am not participating in any meeting, and the report by Afghanistan International holds no truth.”
It is worth noting that some Afghan politicians have confirmed their participation in a joint meeting with Pakistani officials concerning Afghanistan
