Visitors: Taliban Do Not Allow Entry to Band-e Amir Park with Women and Children, but Permit Those with Connection

Visitors to Band-e Amir in Bamyan Province report that Taliban officials from the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice are preventing families from entering the park together. They say that individuals arriving with their wives and children are denied entry at the gate by Taliban personnel stationed there.
Speaking to Cheragh Television, the visitors stated that Taliban officials stand at the entrance of Band-e Amir and do not allow men to enter the park alongside their wives and children for recreational purposes.
According to the visitors, they travel from distant provinces to visit Band-e Amir, but the Taliban inform them that only men are permitted to enter the site.
They further claim that individuals with connections or familiarity with the Taliban are granted access, while those without such ties are denied entry.
As a result, many are forced to visit the park late at night when officials from the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice are no longer present.
