Hengaw, a human rights organization operating outside of Iran, stated in its latest report that since the beginning of 2025, Iran has executed around 800 individuals—46 of whom were Afghan nationals.
The report indicates that these Afghans were executed by the Iranian government in various prisons across the country.
According to Hengaw, the 46 Afghans had been arrested in Iran on charges related to different crimes.
The organization has called on international human rights bodies to take action to stop the Iranian government’s executions and to raise their voices against these acts, which it describes as crimes against humanity.
