Amir Saeed: The Taliban in Afghanistan are providing safe haven to Syrian fighter

Iran’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Iravani, has expressed concern about the transfer of Syrian fighters to Afghanistan.
He stated that if terrorist groups like ISIS and al-Qaeda are relocated to Afghanistan, it would pose a serious threat to regional security.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres also mentioned in his latest report that around 2,000 ISIS fighters are currently in Syria and may potentially be transferred to Afghanistan.
It should be noted that Pakistan’s representative to the United Nations has also warned that terrorist groups operating under Taliban control in Afghanistan pose a threat to Islamabad’s security.
The Taliban, however, consistently reject these accusations and claim that there is no presence of terrorist groups in Afghanistan
