The Passport Directorate under Taliban control announced in a statement released on Saturday that, from now on, children who do not have a legal guardian will not be issued passports.
The statement also said that individuals who are not permitted to leave Afghanistan or who have been identified as criminals by the Taliban will no longer be eligible to receive passports.
Furthermore, the Taliban noted that those whose travel restrictions have been confirmed through biometric and database systems are not entitled to obtain a passport
