Local residents in Herat told Cheragh Television that the Taliban killed a man in Herat and later hung his body on Kandahar Gate in the center of the city.
According to Herat residents, the Taliban had also tied the body to a Ranger vehicle and paraded it through the city in public view.
The people of Herat condemned the incident and, in messages sent to Cheragh Television, said that witnessing such a scene caused them psychological distress.
They added that women, children, and young people were deeply frightened by the event, and many now avoid going to that part of the city out of fear.
Residents said the Taliban did not just punish the individual who was killed, but inflicted mental and emotional punishment on the entire population of Herat.
It should be noted that the identity of the deceased remains unknown, and the Taliban have not yet disclosed who the person was whose body they hung on Kandahar Gate.
