Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, the leader of Hezb-e-Islami, condemned the Taliban for desecrating and hanging a man’s body in Herat.
In a post on his X account, he wrote that Islam has clearly defined punishments for crimes, and if a ruler exceeds or falls short of those limits, it is considered a major sin.
According to him, if rebels against the Islamic system lay down their arms, then pursuing, killing, desecrating their bodies, or hanging them is not permitted in Islam. Anyone who does so is committing a serious offense under Islamic law.
It is worth noting that the Taliban reportedly killed a man in Herat the previous day, displayed his body publicly on the streets, and later hung it at the Kandahar Gate in Herat
