Local sources from Khost told Chiragh Television that on Tuesday, unknown armed individuals shot and killed a young man during afternoon prayers inside a mosque in Sabari district of Khost province.
According to the source, the victim was named Naqibullah.
The source, quoting the victim’s family, stated that Naqibullah had no personal enmity with anyone.
It was also reported that one of Naqibullah’s brothers is currently imprisoned by the Taliban.
The exact motive behind the incident remains unknown.
So far, Taliban security officials in Khost have not commented on the case
