According to a statement released Wednesday by the Taliban’s police command in Badghis, an old DShK shell exploded on Tuesday afternoon in Bala Murghab district, injuring three children.
The statement said the shell had been left behind from previous conflicts.
It also noted that the shell was a remnant of past battles in the area.
It’s worth mentioning that three days earlier, a similar explosion occurred in Maidan Wardak province, where an old shell detonated near schoolchildren, killing one student and injuring four others.
