Political analyst and writer Ismat Qaneh, reacting to Pakistan’s overnight attacks, stated that Afghanistan’s air and ground space is under assault—bombings are taking place, people are being martyred, homes are being destroyed—yet those who once bragged about defeating America and NATO remain completely silent.
Referring to the Taliban, he said these braggarts are “salt-eaters of Rawalpindi,” implying they are beholden to Pakistan, which is why they always remain silent in the face of Pakistani aggression.
Qaneh added that the Taliban are using customs revenue to fund weddings, and instead of responding to Pakistan, they spend all their time at home with their wives.
