Andriy Parubiy, the former speaker of Ukraine’s parliament, was shot and killed by an unidentified armed assailant in the central area of Lviv city.
Police say the incident occurred on Saturday in the Sykhivskyi district of Lviv. Local officials have confirmed Parubiy’s death and stated that efforts are underway to apprehend the attacker.
Sources report that the assailant was dressed in food delivery worker clothing and fled the scene after the attack.
