Pakistani Telecom Networks Shut Down Afghan Refugees’ SIM Cards

Afghan refugees in Pakistan told Cheragh TV that several Pakistani telecom companies have deactivated the SIM cards of Afghan refugees who held Pakistan’s refugee registration cards (PoR and ACC).
They said the telecom networks blocked the SIM cards as soon as the validity period of those refugee cards expired.
It’s important to note that Pakistan has continued its campaign to deport Afghan refugees, and today—August 31—is the final deadline for the complete expulsion of undocumented Afghan refugees from the country.
