According to a press release issued Tuesday by the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation under Taliban administration, approximately 16,833 Afghan refugees returned to Afghanistan from Pakistan and Iran on Monday.
The statement noted that 11,351 refugees entered Afghanistan from Pakistan via the Torkham and Spin Boldak border crossings.
Additionally, 4,987 refugees returned from Iran.
It is important to mention that thousands of Afghan refugees return daily from neighboring countries and are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance and support within Afghanistan.
These returnees require access to essential services such as employment, education, healthcare, shelter, and other basic needs
