The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies has reported that 84,000 people have been affected by the recent earthquakes in eastern Afghanistan. Additionally, around 8,000 homes have been destroyed.
According to the federation, these individuals have been impacted both directly and indirectly by the disaster. They emphasized that people in the earthquake-stricken areas are now in urgent need of shelter, food, clean drinking water, medicine, and other essential services.
It was also noted that the Taliban have called on international organizations to provide assistance to the victims, especially in the Kunar province.
