United Nations: OCHA Allocates $10 Million in Aid for Afghanistan Earthquake Victims

UN Secretary-General spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric announced during a press conference that the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), in collaboration with international humanitarian organizations, has allocated $10 million to assist those affected by the recent earthquakes in eastern Afghanistan.
He stated that OCHA will soon begin delivering aid across various sectors to reach those in need.
Dujarric also mentioned that the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) has sent emergency assistance worth $4.5 million to Kunar and Jalalabad. This aid includes tents, blankets, water containers, gas stoves, solar lamps, and tarpaulins.
