The Hengaw Human Rights Organization reported on Sunday that the Iranian government has executed 906 individuals this calendar year for various crimes.
According to the report, 59 of those executed were Afghan nationals, who were put to death in different prisons across Iran during this period.
The organization stated that, on average, Iran executes 25 people each week. Among those executed were 26 women and minors.
While the report did not provide further details about the Afghan individuals, it noted that many Afghans in Iran are executed on charges related to murder and drug trafficking
