Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently stated that the Afghan Taliban must choose between supporting the Pakistani state or the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
He said that TTP militants cross over from Afghanistan into Pakistan and carry out terrorist attacks. According to him, this group targets both Pakistani military personnel and civilians, killing them.
Sharif emphasized that Pakistan seeks peaceful relations with Afghanistan, but if the Taliban continue to support terrorists, then Pakistan will take action to eliminate them.
During his speech, Shehbaz Sharif declared: “Today I want to send a clear message to Afghanistan: choose between Pakistan and the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).”
On the other hand, the Afghan Taliban have denied supporting armed terrorists or the TTP, stating that Afghan soil will never be used to benefit terrorist groups
