Taliban Flog Six People in Khost Province on Charges of Sodomy

According to a statement released Monday by the Taliban’s Supreme Court, six individuals were publicly flogged in Khost province in front of a crowd for alleged involvement in illicit relations and sodomy.
The statement says each person received 39 lashes in public and was sentenced to five years of imprisonment.
It is also noted that previously, the Taliban had flogged five individuals in Farah province on similar charges of illicit relations.
