Residents of Kandahar city told Cheragh Television that fuel prices in the province are increasing day by day, and although they have repeatedly raised their voices, no one is listening.
According to them, as of Monday, one liter of petrol in Kandahar city is sold for 72 Afghanis, one liter of diesel for 80 Afghanis, and one kilogram of gas for 55 Afghanis. They describe this as an injustice to the public and urge the government to take action to control the prices.
Kandahar residents say the issue is not just the rising prices—fuel quality has also deteriorated. They claim that using this fuel in motorcycles, cars, or other vehicles damages the engines and forces people to seek repairs.
They add that the Taliban authorities have so far taken no steps to monitor or improve fuel quality in the province. Despite repeated complaints, the government remains silent and has not taken any action.
Kandahar citizens are calling on the Taliban to regulate fuel prices, ensure quality control, and address the public’s concerns.
