According to a statement released by the Supreme Court under Taliban control, 11 individuals were publicly punished on Wednesday for charges of adultery, sodomy, and illicit relationships.
The statement notes that among the eleven accused, four are women.
It further states that the individuals received between 21 and 39 lashes and were sentenced to imprisonment ranging from 8 months to 4 years.
