Local sources in Kabul told Cheragh Television on Thursday that the Taliban’s Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue has instructed local representatives in District 11 of Kabul to identify homes that operate women’s beauty centers (salons).
The sources added that the Taliban have asked these representatives to report such centers to the ministry so they can be shut down.
Local sources confirmed to Cheragh Television that the Taliban threatened the representatives with punishment if they do not cooperate, stating that they would lose the right to file complaints afterward.
According to the sources, officials from the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue emphasized that women’s beauty centers (salons) are banned by order of the ministry and must be closed immediately.
