Fada’i to the Taliban: Now defend against drone strikes with charms and incantations

Mohammad Halim Fada’i, former governor of Logar during the Republic era, responded to Pakistan’s overnight attacks by addressing the Taliban. He said: “You closed the doors of schools and universities or turned them into madrasas—so now go ahead and defend against Pakistan’s drone strikes with chants and talismans.”
Fada’i added: “You Taliban claimed to have defeated 48 countries with God’s help—so where is that divine support now when it comes to confronting a neighboring country?”
He concluded by saying that the Taliban only consider the oppression of their own people as divine victory and jihad.
