Despite the Pakistani government’s extension of the deadline for the forced deportation of Afghan refugees until the 10th of the month of Sunbula (August/September), local sources from Balochistan province told Chiragh Television on Friday that police in Balochistan have begun arresting and forcibly deporting Afghan refugees.
According to the source, police in Quetta city are detaining Afghan refugees, sending them to temporary detention centers, and then deporting them to Afghanistan.
The source also stated that even individuals with legal documents are facing mistreatment.
It should be noted that in recent months, both Iran and Pakistan have intensified the expulsion of Afghan refugees, and refugee advocacy organizations are urging both countries to reconsider this decision.
