According to a press release issued by the Supreme Court under Taliban control, 12 individuals were publicly flogged in Kabul on Monday for allegedly trafficking and selling narcotics.
The statement said that each person received between 10 and 39 lashes in a public gathering.
It also noted that those convicted of drug trafficking and sale were sentenced to imprisonment ranging from seven months to two years
