šŸš Return of Afghan Refugees via Spin Boldak

Yesterday, 193 Afghan refugee families arrived in Kandahar via the Spin Boldak route.
The Taliban’s Directorate of Refugees and Repatriation stated that on Tuesday, 193 families—comprising a total of 1,120 individuals—returned from Pakistan to Kandahar through the Spin Boldak crossing.
According to the Directorate, these refugees were registered and then sent to their original areas of residence.
Additionally, the Directorate reported that on the same day, 40 Afghan refugee prisoners were released from Pakistani jails and returned to Kandahar via Spin Boldak. Some of these individuals reportedly had legal documents but were still detained by Pakistani authorities. After spending several days in prison, they were freed and repatriated.
This comes amid a broader trend in recent weeks, where thousands of Afghan refugees have been forcibly expelled from Pakistan and Iran. Upon return, they face urgent needs for shelter, employment, healthcare, and other essential services in Afghanistan.
