According to a statement released on Sunday by the Taliban administration in Nimroz province, the Silk Bridge route connecting Iran and Afghanistan has been reopened for trade and public movement.
The statement noted that the route had been closed a week earlier by Iranian border police for unknown reasons, but was reopened yesterday.
The Taliban stated that starting Sunday, traders and civilians can once again use the route for regular travel and commerce as before.
