The acting Minister of Interior of the Taliban, Sirajuddin Haqqani, met with Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday.
According to a statement released by the Taliban’s Ministry of Interior, during the meeting Haqqani asked the Pakistani government to treat Afghan refugees and Afghan prisoners in Pakistani jails with dignity and in accordance with human rights.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized building positive relations and eliminating terrorism.
The statement added that Mohsin Naqvi stressed the need for bilateral cooperation in the areas of security and combating narcotics.
The Pakistani Interior Minister also stated that necessary facilities will be provided for traders and ordinary people, and both sides will work together to resolve issues.
