Residents of Kandahar and representatives of travel agencies have voiced concerns over the increasing difficulty in obtaining Pakistani visas, describing the process as opaque and riddled with irregularities.
According to them, the issue has become a major challenge not only for patients seeking medical treatment in Pakistan but also for traders who are facing economic losses due to visa delays.
One Kandahar resident told Chiragh Television: “We pay in advance for the visa, yet our applications are still rejected.”
Travel agency officials echoed similar complaints, stating that the Pakistani embassy lacks transparency in its visa issuance process. They told Chiragh Television: “Many people, even those with urgent needs like medical patients, are rejected or have their documents dismissed without explanation. These practices have created serious difficulties for both us and our clients.”
Meanwhile, traders also report that delays in obtaining Pakistani visas have severely impacted their businesses.
