- The international organization Save the Children has stated in its latest report that since the beginning of this year, more than 800,000 children have returned to Afghanistan from Iran and Pakistan.According to the report, the pace of return is so rapid that on average, one child returns to Afghanistan every 30 seconds.The organization notes that many of these children are returning either with their families or as unaccompanied minors, and they face serious economic, health, and psychological challenges.These children are in urgent need of food, shelter, healthcare, and education.Save the Children and other humanitarian organizations are calling on international and regional aid agencies to take immediate action to ensure these children have access to life-saving support and essential services, in order to prevent a major humanitarian crisis.
