According to a published report by the German newspaper Taz, the Pakistani government has deported 40 Afghan nationals who were waiting in Islamabad for relocation to Germany.
These individuals had been accepted under Germany’s resettlement program for Afghans and had received official confirmation emails from the German government. Despite this, Pakistani authorities detained them and forcibly returned them to Afghanistan.
Taz reports that the deported Afghans were awaiting their scheduled flights to Germany when they were removed by Pakistani officials.
It is important to note that approximately 2,000 Afghans in Pakistan have received acceptance letters from the German government and are currently waiting to travel. However, in recent weeks, their situation has deteriorated, with Pakistani police reportedly detaining and deporting them under various pretexts
