The anti-Taliban group, the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, stated in a press release issued on Saturday that it carried out an attack on a Taliban checkpoint in Kunduz’s Fourth Security District on Friday evening.
According to the statement, two armed Taliban members were killed and two others wounded during the assault.
So far, Taliban security authorities in Kunduz have not commented on the incident.
