Residents of Kabul complain that under the shadow of Taliban rule, the persistent electricity shortages have severely disrupted their daily lives.
They say that during these extremely hot days, they have no power, and the heat has caused illness among women and children.
Kabul citizens told Cheragh TV: “We go hours and hours without electricity during the day, yet the electricity bills still arrive. We don’t have power, but the bills are full of charges. This is a great injustice against our poor and struggling people.”
They claim that the electricity department does not pay attention to their problems and has taken no serious steps to resolve the issue.
According to them, this situation has not only made people’s lives miserable, but also exposed the incompetence of the Taliban administration. When people cry out for basic necessities, the Taliban respond only with promises instead of solutions.
They urge the Taliban to fix the electricity supply system and seriously address the needs of the people—so that Kabul’s dark nights may be turned into light.
